Turning the tide: Clean energy’s unprecedented surge!
Although climate goals and net-zero commitments have been in place for a few years, real world investments into clean, renewable energies have lagged, or at most, equalled investments into fossil fuels. No longer! Stimulus packages during the Covid pandemic included clean energy investments and the 2022 energy shock and the war in Ukraine have further accelerated clean energy investments. Consequently, clean energy has grown 24% over the last three years compared to fossil fuels that have experienced a 15% growth. Currently, for every USD 1 spent on fossil fuels, USD 1.7 is spent on clean energy. Five years ago, this ratio was 1:1. So who is the winner now?
