Empowering the drive: The silent revolution of EV semiconductors!

Did you know that the ‘engine’ in an EV is an inverter? So basically many power semiconductors put together. As a result, electric vehicles have greater semiconductor content – up to USD 1,500 for a high-end EV car compared to only USD 500 in a regular ICE (internal combustion engine) car. Most of the increased semiconductor content is used to power semis in the engine (drivetrain). Unsurprisingly, all large power semiconductor companies anticipate >10% mid-term sales growth in their businesses.
