Unleashing nature’s force: The world’s largest wind turbine!
Wind turbines have become bigger and therefore more powerful. The largest wind turbine installed today in China is 280 meters high and has a rotor diameter of 236 meters – longer than two soccer fields! Once fully operational it can produce up to 15MW – enough to power around 20,000 European households. A Chinese wind turbine manufacturer has already presented plans for an even bigger model, capable of producing 18MW with a rotor diameter of 260 meters.
